Crunchy, naturally sweetened, and endlessly customizable
There is something so comforting about a batch of homemade granola baking in the oven. The warm aroma, the golden clusters forming, and the simple ingredients coming together — it’s one of those recipes that reminds you how beautiful homemade food can be.
This healthy homemade granola is perfectly crisp, lightly sweetened, and made with real, wholesome ingredients. Unlike store-bought versions that often contain refined sugars, preservatives, and unnecessary additives, this recipe gives you full control. You know exactly what’s going into your body — and you can tailor it to your taste.
What I love most about making granola at home is how versatile it is. You can enjoy it:
- With cold milk for a simple breakfast
- Sprinkled over Greek yogurt with fresh berries
- On top of a smoothie bowl for added crunch
- Paired with ice cream for a sweet and salty contrast
- Mixed into overnight oats
- Or even eaten by the handful as a snack
It’s a pantry staple that feels nourishing, satisfying, and just a little indulgent.
And the best part? Granola is meant to be creative. Once you have a solid base recipe, you can make it your own. Add chopped almonds or pecans, stir in pumpkin seeds, mix in dried cranberries or raisins, fold in dark chocolate chips after baking — whatever you have in your pantry can become part of the canvas.
Because at Vikys Kitchen, the kitchen is my canvas — and recipes like this are where you get to experiment, create, and make something uniquely yours.
Homemade granola isn’t just better for you — it’s better because it’s yours.

Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
-
In a large bowl, combine oats, cinnamon, salt and baking soda.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond butter, melted coconut oil, coconut sugar, maple syrup and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
-
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until fully combined.
-
Spread the granola mixture evenly on the baking sheet. Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
-
Let the granola cool for a few minutes after taking it out of the oven and if you are using chocolate chips, add them in while it cools completely for them to get slightly melted. If you're not using chocolate chips, let it cool all the way and then store it in a glass container for it to stay fresh and crunchy!
Note
Storing the granola : Keep it in an airtight container for up to two weeks at room temperature, in the fridge for up to 1 month or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
