Juicy, flavorful, and better than beef

Who says burgers have to be made with beef?

These Ground Chicken Feta Burgers are incredibly juicy, packed with flavor, and surprisingly satisfying. The feta melts slightly as the burgers cook, keeping them tender while adding the perfect salty, creamy bite in every mouthful.

If you’ve ever had a dry chicken burger, this recipe will completely change your mind. Ground chicken can be lean — but when it’s paired with the right ingredients and cooked properly, it becomes something truly special.

These burgers are light yet hearty, high in protein, and perfect for grilling season, weeknight dinners, or meal prep. Serve them on a toasted bun, in a lettuce wrap, or alongside a Mediterranean salad with homemade tzatziki for a fresh, nourishing meal.

At Vikys Kitchen, I believe the kitchen is my canvas — and this recipe is proof that even a classic burger can be reimagined in a way that’s wholesome, balanced, and full of flavor.

Why You’ll Love These Chicken Feta Burgers

  • Juicy and tender — never dry
  • Packed with protein
  • Lighter than traditional beef burgers
  • Perfect for meal prep

What Makes Them So Juicy?

The feta and avocado mayo is the secret. It adds moisture and richness without making the burger heavy. When combined with simple seasonings and cooked just until done, the result is a burger that’s flavorful, satisfying, and anything but bland.

Ground Chicken Feta Burgers

These ground chicken feta burgers are juicy, protein-packed, and bursting with Mediterranean flavor — a lighter, wholesome twist on the classic burger that’s just as satisfying as beef.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the ground chicken, avocado mayo, crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, oregano, garlic & herb seasoning, thyme, and salt.

  1. Using clean hands or a fork, gently mix everything together until just combined. Be careful not to overmix — this keeps the burgers tender and juicy.

  1. Divide the mixture into equal portions (about 4 burgers depending on size). Wet your hands and shape into patties about ½–¾ inch thick. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of avocado oil. Let the oil heat until shimmering but not smoking.

  1. Add the patties to the hot pan. Cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. (Internal temperature should reach 165°F.)

    Pro Tip:

Ground chicken is lean, so avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking — that pushes out the juices and can make them dry.

  1. Remove from the pan and let the burgers rest for 3–5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

  1. Serve on toasted buns, fresh sourdough, in a pita, or over a salad with tzatziki for a Mediterranean-inspired meal.

    Enjoy!!!

Note

Serve with your favorite buns, sourdough, or ciabatta bread! They are delicious with tzatziki sauce, avocado, hot honey, mayo, tomato, and/or red onions.
